Janice & Chaz | June 25, 2016
Alyson's Orchard | Walpole, NH
A wedding day is a spectacular event to witness, but it is even more special when you are part of making the day happen. There's so much love in the air and the bride and groom have spent so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Janice and Chaz’s wedding, either!
The wedding was at Alyson's Orchard located in Walpole, New Hampshire. Boasting 450 acres of apple trees, lawns, wildflowers, and swimming ponds - this jaw dropping gorgeous venue is an ideal location for brides hunting for the perfect venue. Alyson's Orchard was founded in the 1980's by Bob and Susan Jasse and today is one of the finest heirloom apple orchards in North America that features over 50 varieties of apples, along with berries, peaches, grapes, pears, and plums (in season of course).
Both the ceremony and reception were truly special and reflected their personalities very well with the peach and lavender color scheme. Janice's lace gown was just stunning. When we asked her how she knew it was "the one," she said, "It was the fourth or fifth dress I tried on out of seven. I couldn't get it out of my mind and I even had an appointment somewhere else but I went back to try the dress on again. I just knew it was the one."
Now let's find out more about our LDC couple! Janice and Chaz first met back in high school (we just love high school sweethearts!!) A fun fact about the couple is that their wedding day was also their 7th anniversary of being together. Awww!
When I asked Janice what her favorite part of the wedding was, she said:
"I'm not sure if I can pinpoint an exact moment. Maybe as we are being announced and Bristol fell on her face in front of everyone... (Poor baby - but she was up and running again in no time!) or maybe our first dance and how nervous we were. (Which they completely nailed!!) Probably some of my favorite moments were the speeches and dances; such amazing things were said from some of the most important people in our lives."
After dancing together as husband and wife to "Neverstop" by Safety Suit and also "Sugar" by Maroon 5, the couple and their guests enjoyed an elegant BBQ buffet meal.
Maybe it was the glimmer in their eyes or the permanent smiles on their faces, but you could tell they were really loving every minute of their special day surrounded by friends and family from across the country that love them!
As for me, one of my personal favorite moments of the wedding was when Janice and Chaz were able to share a quiet moment together during their first look. Janice totally agrees, "We loved our first look!!! To be able to have the intimate moment together before the chaos was just perfect."
When asked how their experience was when working with LDC & Co. to help plan and execute the wedding, Janice simply replied, "Great! Lauren was so helpful with keeping me on track and making sure everything was on point."
Janice's List Of What To Pack On Your Wedding Day:
- Food!!!! (And make sure you plan for lunch!)
Janice's Wedding Planning Advice To Future Brides:
- Work on that timeline and make sure you stick with it. We got off track during the reception and missed a lot of things which is unfortunate so I'd say have fun but keep track of time.
- Relax! I am a very anxious person so I had a hard time taking a chill pill and using my energy on the more important things. Stay calm and pace yourself. Try to get as much done so you give yourself the last couple weeks to relax. Just remember that everything will be beautiful in the end so just focus on what's most important, and don't be afraid to ask for help!!
